UWG Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet
The University of West Georgia Athletic Department is proud to announce the 2025 UWG Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet, set for Friday, October 10 in the Campus Center Ballroom at the University of West Georgia. This year, UWG Athletics will induct four new members into the Hall of Fame, including: Willie Candler (Football), Cade Marlowe (Baseball), Sherry Cooney (Cheerleading), and the 1974 NAIA National Championship Basketball team.
The banquet will take place from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, October 10, the night before the annual Hall of Fame game, this year played against UAC member Abilene Christian. Inductees and attendees will mingle for drinks at the bar in the Campus Center Ballroom at 6:00 p.m. before the banquet begins.
The cost for the banquet is $50 for an individual and $400 for a table for eight. Included in the cost is admittance to the banquet, the pre-banquet reception, and a special Hall of Fame gift.

9:00 AM Brunch in the Athletic Operations Building [inductees and campus VIPs]
9:45 AM Installation of HOF Plaques in Hall of Fame (Athletics Operation Building)
11:45 AM Hall of Fame members to lead the Wolf Walk (Meet at NE Ticket Booth)
1:25 PM All Hall of Fame members (new inductees and past) gather at the Wolf on the football field (south end zone) for a gameday picture
2:00 PM Kickoff
** Throughout the first half of the game, current members of the Hall of Fame will be introduced on the field.
